"SCREW THE POOCH" - short film

​"Screw the Pooch" is the tragi-comedy 2020 asked for. When Kay's mother dies, Death sticks around for some unfinished business, and the two become unlikely roommates.

The film is a quirky, sensitive exploration of how young people meet with death more and more in their twenties, and reflects the global experience of death that we all have endured in 2020.

Kay is initially irritated by Death hanging around and getting in the way, questioning it, demanding answers, dancing with it, to the moment where she asks for Death’s help, to relieve the suffering of her dog. It’s an awakening for her, a story of an unlikely friendship.
